Please post more details, and what it sounds like @ idle or under acceleration...What area is the sound coming from ?

Did you check if a kitty is under you Monte ?

I have this one nutty coworker who can tell you anything and everything about any make and any model like it was written down in front of him, I'll check with him today and see if he has any further insightful wisdom I can pass down to you...

Is your hvac(heat/a/c) stuff turned off? when you hear it, i had notice in our new car (intrigue) it lets a slight hiss out while nothing is on

Yeah man it's one of two things: a vacuum leak, or, least likely but worst possible scenario, a crack in your exhaust manifold.

Try running your engine and spraying the vacuum lines with carb cleaner and if it chokes up then you found it.

i don't sugest that sounds like a nice little engine fire waiting to happen

Carb cleaner won't hurt your engine. If it gets into a vacuum hose all it's going to do is stall the engine temporarily.

i'm not talking about geting into the engine i'm talking getting in contact with hot parts,

Carb cleaner has a flash point of about 120* F

let alone the risk you run with the splater getting on your paint and eating throught it

If you use a little nozzle to aim it specifically at a part then you shouldn't have the problem of getting it all over the place. I didn't.

Or you could just spray around vac lines/gaskets with soapy water
