Heat shield wrap

Hey there!

I was just reading a thread about the K&N FIPK intake, and remembered that it's more of a warm air intake, rather than a cold air intake. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good wrap I can use to wrap the heat shield so the intake temperature isn't so high?

Thanks!
Tyler

This is what I would use. 16 in. x 25 ft. Staple Tab Insulation-ST16025 at The Home Depot

Lou, you found the stuff I was talking about (didn't know what the proper name was, I do now). :)

i was going to say not buy that intake but i forgot you already had it, and that pic of you with the box after you opened it is awesome btw

i would use some sort of foam to build up the area that touches the hood, just so there's a good seal, also i used some heating duct tape on my wizaired to seal any area's that may let some warm air in

I Used that Aluminum tape on my vents in my house and it is really good. It's very sticky and I would highly recommend it. Any home improvement store would have it by the heating stuff.
