Default Getting New Exhaust

im going to be putting new exhaust on my 01 this summer. magnaflow cat back with resenator delete. i was just wondering if i should do 2.5in or 3in exhuast or what if they will even have a sound difference between the two. also i was thinking about putting the magnaflow double wall tips on it do they make any differnce than just regular magnaflow tips?

eventually it will have new headers and downpipe along with a new magnaflow cat once i get enough money after the exhaust is put on. my exhuast shop is only charging me around $200 to do what is stated in the first paragraph.

2.5" diameter, you shouldn't go 3" without plenty of boost

2.5" will be more than adequate. Going to 3" you'll see a reduction in low end torque.

They are. But they aren't branded because I have the discontinued GMPP cat-back.

They are the same, just a smaller diameter.

Be careful though, if your muffler outlet is 2.5" because that tip inlet is 2.25"

Also when you get all of this exhaust put on, make sure you pick up some Mothers Mag and Alum polish to keep them shining like new
