Default Fuel Injector O-Rings Splitting

I have found a problem with my O-Rings on the lower part of my injectors.
I installed the Fel-Pro "problem solver" gasket set and it included a set of new BLUE lower injector o-rings.They were double trouble to get on.They are a noticeably larger size than the original. Now after 5K miles I have noticed that the three I can see in the front have broken and show some sign of splitting.Do you think I pinched them putting them on or are they the wrong ones?I myself do not think they are the wrong ones because I also ordered the LOWER intake gasket set and it had a set of the same size blue 0-rings in it.
At this time I have no noticeable changes in the way the car runs or sounds.

Good question, never seen blue rings, the only ones I've seen are black. But I haven't replaced rings in a while. Pinching is possible, me personally I like to lube them up with a little bit of oil prior to install to keep them from drying out and cracking as well as lube up the ports in the LIM so that they don't bind on install. I would try that next time you replace them.

thanks for the reply,I did cote them before installing but not the LIM its self.Because I got two sets, I may pull it and change the broken ones out.would i need too replace all of them no mater what?I read on here somewhere that if you pulled the rail for any reason you would need to replace all the lower rings.remember I only have about five thousand miles on these.Any thoughts out there?

Not sure if they're the same ones, but I used blue ones on my monte that were pretty tough to get on too. I want to say PRJ recommended them over the cheap ones that came with my injectors because of a better seal or something. I know they were tougher to get in, but with lube, they didn't get damaged or anything.
