So we have been right this whole time. The first dealership said the catalytic converter was fine.....they didnt even run the codes on it!!! So i finally took my car to another dealership and they replaced the cat on my car. She runs like brand new now. I forgot how much power she actually has and with the new intake on.....she is actually semi-fast. haha. Im glad I dont have to worry about that anymore.

thanx guys.....yeah it was covered over the warranty. too bad b/c i could have gotten a hi-flow cat and u-bend delete if i had to pay haha.

and wiz, i now only floor it up to the speed limit and stop......its all i can do anymore haha.

I gave a guy advise last week who has suffered several burned and damaged valves and has spent about 2k in repairs .

His car has 140k with the original cat.

When I told him he should check the cat he couldn't believe it.

The guy that has fixed his car several times runs his repairs out of a muffler shop.

Can you say irony?

 

its sad that so many people try and cheat you out of money....

they key is ask a lot of questions and get several opinions.

its nice to have everyone here for advice too.
