Default Exhaust sequence

Hello MCF!

I'm looking to redo my exhaust before I do my top swap this summer. I want to do the headers all the way back to the tips. The only problem I have right now is, what do I do first? 2.5" or 3"? I'll be going with the ZZP aluminized cat back exhaust because I feel like it will give me the biggest bang for my buck. It's cheap, and it gives me everything I want.

Thanks,
Tyler

Why not do the exhaust after the top swap. Why would you want to pull the manifolds off and bolt the headers on just to have to pull the headers back off to do the top swap?

That's a very good point. I was just really wanting to get some exhaust work done because the top swap won't be for quite a while.

Don't get the aluminized cat-back. Don't go cheap with the exhaust. Get a good Stainless Steel exhaust system so you don't have to worry about it ever.

What system would you suggest for fairly cheap?

Cheap just doesn't do it IMO on these exhausts. If you go cheap it will rust out and you'll be replacing it soon.

I used to recommend the GMPP but it's discontinued. The SLP is stainless I believe.

I have the SLP Cat-Back behind a ZZP Downpipe. Was easy to do, sounds good, and it will never, ever rust again

I was planning on doing new exhaust atleast from the downpipe back. But are headers really necessary? After the top swap maybe?

Thanks for the free shipping link! I think with car parts, shipping is always something that will getcha becausse of how heavy the parts are.

Thanks

If you top swap anything that will reduce KR and allow you to run a smaller pulley safely is what you want.

So yeah, headers become necessary.
