Default exhaust

whats up my fellow mc lovers. ive decided to go with the flowmaster super 44 series. i went to a couple of shops today togetprices. the numbers didnt surprise. pretty much every shop said they would charge 110 for each muffler and 100 for the tips. thats about 320+tax for the job. no problem but in my head i was thinking i know i can find them cheaper on the net. i came across this site....http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...Ntt=flowmaster

is there anything else i would need for the system.... feedback would be appreciated.

What I have circled is a resonator if you take that outyour exhaust will be louder and have a different sound then with one. Also the exhaust will be louder on the inside of the carwith this out. As for a high flow cat a lot of people like either slp or random tech. This will also make the exhaust louder and give you better power.

im not even sure I know what the resonator is so my question is does the computer realize its missing? I used to drive a 92 camaro with the 5.0 I cut the cat out and ran straight pipe sounded mean my step dad said I couldnt do that on my monte because the computer would sense it and make the car run super rich to compensate.

I doubt it, if anything you might get a code from the computer but u can have that deleted of your pcm with a tuner.

Since the resonator is after the oxygen sensor I doubt that it would throw a code (in our generation of Montes). Like 06MCLTZ said that it would be louder inside the car. If I do anything with my 05 SS’s exhaust it will probably be U-bend delete and resonator delete. I cannot afford a cat back system for the 05 at this time.

so as far as this resonator delete and ubend (from what I understand based on 06MCLTZ's pic thanks by the way I havent even got to look under my monte yet its to damn cold out and the snow keeps on fallin lol.) but anyways from what I understnad its as simple as cutting that resonator off at the top and then cutting the pipe right before the y-pipe and then what run straight pipe instead? Is there any problem with it bottoming it out I notice the Ubend is in its own little groove or that just an opticle illusion lol?

EDIT: So instead of deleting the above im leaving it just to show how much I really DONT KNOW lol, I found a ubend delete at wbodystore.com and it showed a picture of the "stock ubend" After seeing that I realized what it was. I thought because the whole exhaust length made sort of a U that was the ubend and to delete it was to run it the pipe straight down the center thinking it would be less pipe that way. So obviously wrong but at least not to far-fetched
