Arrow Exhaust

I know there are other threads that will probably repeat what they say here. I am about to install a new Cat, Mufflers and maybe headers. I do not want a sound that will be too ricey. it doesnt have to have the V-8 sound which I know it wont but a nice purr would be nice. I would like to know from members that have installed new exahaust systems as to what they put and what is the sound. did you like it or not?

What kind/year of car do you have? Motor? I'm going to assume you have a 2000-2005 Monte Carlo. A lot of people hate the sound of the 3800 motor, but I have one and I have 3" exhaust to a flowmaster delta 40, no cat, etc and I love the sound of it. I don't recommend doing such a large exhaust if you aren't supercharged though.

Default exhaust

......I have a 05 superchrged and I'm considering exhaust change in the spring. I will probably go with Flowmaster 40 or 50 series ?
I don't want that po'd Bumble -Bee sound however.
There are some good sound clips out there. Just get the tone
that you like.

i have about the same exhaust setup as nitehawk. it all depend on the kind of mods you have to get that deep rumble sound. here's mine....cam, heads, pacestter and few bolt on.

Probably the only difference is mine's a single exhaust, and you have the y-pipe exhaust. I like having a single exhaust sticking out, so people that know Monte Carlos will think I have a 3100... Until I pop the hood.

I have a 2003 3.8. I do plan ion however doing more to it down the way. I just wish there were more people out here that had Monte's, that way I could kinda have someone help me out and give me pointers. The only thing I have had done to my Monte is the suspension KYB gas shocks and the eibach springs. plus a K&N CAI. I live in Los Angeles by the way

Don't feel bad man. I knew very little about cars when I got my Monte, all it took was some help from guys on forums like this, and some reading. Now I've got an L67 in my car, I've torn it down more than once, put all kinds of bumpers on it. It's fun.
