Default Electric Supercharger Kit?

I know it may sound silly to a few of you guys but is this product any good?Yeah i know it wont give as much as it says, but, in true terms, does it make a difference?a noticable one?if so how much hp? It seems pretty convincing due to the movement of the fan being powered by electricity and not just the suction of air from the intake

Also, I was wondering on what kind of exhaust to go with to help my monte breathe better?I dont want to get any louder though.

This subject has come up many times on these boards. But I didn't feel like using the search feature either. Some members have spent some serious time discussing this and doing some pretty hard math. Those it the know confirm that these wouldn't work worth a damn with any engine with a large displacement. Even the smallest Monte V6 is large enough - too large.

Personally I believe a large enough electric supercharger, if power by an independent source, could work. But I don't think it exists as it would take a lot of power. I have seen a video of a car making big hp gains on a dyno by screwing around with a big leaf blower.

I also think its a good idea to stay away from ebay performance gimmicks

# Increased Engine Responsiveness
# Gas Pedal Activated (When pressed down past 50% length)

That doesnt make much sense^^^ You're not gonna be able to use the responsiveness of this thing, with all the HP it adds, you'll have to use under 50% throttle just to get off the line.

That thing is junk and if anything, it will make you lose hp rather then gain. The problem with an electric blower forcing air into your engine is that it doesn't spin fast enough. There are a number of turbos that spin 125,000rpms. To make an electric turbo spin that fast, you would need an incredible power source. A power source that dwarfs the battery in your car.

Here are some tell tale signs to look for scams on Ebay and other websites.

If it says it's a turbocharger and a surpercharger in the same sentence.

If the word "chip" is used to describe it. Our cars don't take "chips" (I on the other hand like Nacho Cheese Doritos).

If it says you can make a bunch of hp and gain fuel economy for only $69.95.

If it says it's a resistor to trick your IAT.

Those are just a few things that I can think of right off the top of my head. Sadly, with these engines there's no "cheap" way to make hp. I've spent a bit and still have a way to go with my own car. Keep this rule in mind: Performance Reliability Cheap, pick two.
