Default Dynomax exhaust

My girlfriend has a 04LS and is looking for exhaust. I got a quote for her for just y-pipe, 2 mufflers and tips. They want almost $400 for just that. Well I was looking on 3800performance.comand I saw 2.5" Dynomax Catbackfor $450. I've heard that Dynomax is a really good exhaust. They say it's for a SS model, but the exhaustshop can make a hanger on the other side for it. She wants something that's not overly loud but still be able to hear it. How loud is Dynomax really?

I am seriously looking into dynomax as well. I found a great sound clip on youtube of a 3800-powered Regal or Impala (can't remember which) with dynomax exhaust. I like the sound very much. I am at work right now and cannot access youtube, but go and search for 3800 dynomax exhaust, see what comes up.

I have that exhaust and it's not very loud. It does give a deep growl though

How about when you get on it? How is the sound? Is it a good one?

Hey, Amy...do you have a sound clip? I want a nice tone to mine, but not too loud. I don't want it to get raspy and sound ricey!!

all i could get is a video clip. i'll try for you guys though. the sound itself is pretty good, but it is quite quiet. its even california compliant, and nothing is legal in california. its not as loud as the slowmasters or the magnaflows. it can be heard pretty well in the car going down the road, but people standing on the side of the road don't hear it all that well, but they could probably hear it. i like the sound, a good deep rumble that sounds muchbetter than a flowmaster in my opinion (although not as loud). i think your girlfriend would be happy with a dynomax system.
