Default DynoMax catback

Hey guys!

I did a quick search about the DynoMax Super Turbo catback exhaust on this forum, and didn't find anything. So I'm making this thread about what you guys think about the DynoMax exhaust system located here: DynoMax Super Turbo Cat-Back Exhaust System: 3800 Performance

Only a couple people on youtube have it on their 3.8 N/A Monte. I was originally going to get something bent up at a shop with Flowmaster 40's, but I don't like the crackle at higher RPM's. I then switched my mind to the SLP Powerflo system, but it's on back order at lmperformance.com, and it's like a hundred dollars more on 3800performance.com than the DynoMax. Then I stumbled upon the DynoMax system.

What do you guys think of the system? I can't tell if it's 2.5" or 2.25" throughout by the diagram. Anyone had any experiences with it?

Thanks!
Tyler

The diagram shows that all the piping is 2.25" except for the exit of the mufflers which is 2.5" for the Tips.

The things I do not like about it are that it isn't Stainless Steel. It is just aluminized so it WILL rust. Also, here is a cheaper link if you are dead-set about it, also has good information that you may want to know on it.

Thanks Chibi! Is there something I can spray on it to protect it? Also, does the quarter inch more make that much of a difference?

Honestly it's just not a big upgrade for the piping at that cost and for non-stainless.

You would be better off just getting different mufflers and tips.

Okay. What do you think about the SLP Powerflo system?

Thanks!

It's fully stainless but it doesn't have a resonator so it could drone a little.

Except for the fact that it's close to $800 D:

I think I'll stick to the SLP.

Then don't do a cat-back. Just get the mufflers and tips. That's what I'm doing.
