sure.. you can get a y pipe that splits the pipe about 4 ft or so before reaching the end of the car.... a good exhuast shop could get it done for $100 with chrome tips i'm sure. easily. with no mufflers so you'll sound cooler

the SS has the mounting brackers already there for duals. i don't know what the bottom side of an LS is. you can tkae a car by a shop and have them take a look and give you an estimate. if ti's anymore than a $100 or so i'd insist on knowing why. the mufflers, of course, will be extra on top of that. i wuldn't think with the welding and adding brackets it wuld cost anymore than this though.

i got my LS from single muffler to 2 flowmaster 40's plus some other goodies for 300 bucks. They can do it for an LS, they just need to make the room for it to fit.

for an extra 200 you can get a stainless steel mandrel bent 2.5" cat back. I guess it depends on if you think it's worth the extra money to just upgrade to a new system

Just did that with my G/F's 04LS. 2 Borla Pro XS mufflers, y-pipe it out and welding with tips, about $300 out the door. I bought the mufflers and tips sepreate so got a good deal on them.
