ORIGINAL: montejass And oval tips that look quite nice I might add. Forgot about those, I've got a couple of stainless, oval, angle cut, double wall tips to finish it off. Picture below http://s124497598.onlinehome.us/My%20cars/IMG_0306.JPG |
RE: Dual exhaust on 04 LS?
I have a 2004 Monte Carlo LS. I just recently got a custom-dual exhaust system installed. I put dyno-max mufflers on it and it made a noticeable difference in sound and power. If anything, getting an exhaust system installed will increase not decrease performance.

I know this is an old thread, but this guy was doing what I have had in mind for a while.
Is this a job I could do on my own, or does it involve welding just do switch to a Y-pipe for a dual exhaust look? I really don't mind using stock mufflers or pipes, I just wanted to do this for more of the look. Thanks! |
Had my 40 series flows, ubend delete, stainless pipe from the cat back now for about 8 years or more, always get compliments, I love the sound!

Not sure of any cons, or smog rules in California, the Ubend has the O2 sensor in it, I had them weld in another straight pipe and new sensor, as long as it has the sensor, you should be good. The bend in the pipe is restrictive, so if you straighten it out, better flow. I live in PA and have to pass emissions, which it does no problem, for about 8 years since I had it installed!
