actually the mufflers were 120 each, and i saw all the pricing and such right from the catalog.

 

Wow, Cherry Bomb mufflers have gone wayyyyyyy up in price since 2000. My brother bought one from Autozone in 2000 and it was ~ 15 bucks.

these arn't "cherry bomb" though, they are some other brand that cherry bomb makes. the guy said something about it used to be a flowmaster-made company, and you know how when they advertise they show the inside of the muffles, you can see its not the mesh tube inside, its like a bunch of cornered walls just like flowmaster. another thing is i went with the more expensive ones because they were the real quiet ones, but they gave me a good 15-20 hp, real deep tone at idle then at higher rpms its got that deep "ringing" like when you hear a flowmaster on a truck. so i hope this gives you an idea of what im dealing with, and yes they did have them cheaper cherry bombs for like 30 each. he had those on first and it was way to raspy.

ummm... what? he went up to 2.6" pipe and i found out my pretty little u-bend is no more. i found this out because i called him today after who ever said cherry bombs go for 50 bucks at farm n fleet.

But you never said anything about a U-Bend. You were just talking about a cat-back exhaust system. Deleting the resonator, putting in a Y-pipe and new mufflers. All the restrictions in exhaust are in front of all of that. Bigger pipes from your cat-back will give you different sounds, but won't help the car with performance because the stock form wasn't hurting performance.

 

yes, i know what i was saying but i got on the site here about an hour ago and saw that some one on this post said that cherry bombs go for about 50 bucks. so i called the guy that did my exhaust and asked him why the catalog said they were 120, anyways hes one of those ratchet jaws just goes on and on. but it came up the topic of the u-bend delete so i decided to ask him again how much that would cost, i told him that if the check engine light came on id just take it some where to let them do what they do to turn it off. thats when he told me that he went ahead and took care of teh u-bend and ran 2.6" pipes in addition to that. now my question to you is (and im not calling you a liar) why would he tell me that it would give me about 20 more horses?

 

but yes i should have said about the u-bend earlier.
