Default did i get ripped off??

well i got an exhaust installed yesterday and just wondering if i got ripped off. i paid 350 even he wanted 410 but i talked him down. got a y pipe installed res delete and two high-flow mufflers they are made by cherry bomb but not their brand name but still made by them. they are for the 95-99 year and they sound great the best ive ever heard on a 3400 or 3800 and adds some nice power. so what do you think??

If he welded it on, and did all of that, it sounds about right to me then. It also depends on where you live, looks like a **** town in Illinois... not to specific, but my point with location is that the same job in LA pays a lot more than in the middle of Oklahoma. Since he had to sell you the mufflers and do all of the work, welding, fitting, brackets, supplies, that sounds about right to me. Hope you enjoy the sounds!

I assume that includes all the parts he used too (ie the $350 included parts + labor)? Did he use a mandrel bender or just crush bend it?

I also assume the mufflers aren't stainless for that price- are the tips stainless at least?

tips r stainless, mandrel bent, labor and not stainless i think its a good deal. im gonna get a sound clip for you guys you wont belive it. it sounds EXACTLY like the newer montes with the V8 at idle but just a tiny bit louder. then at higher rpms imagine a hollow kinda metallic sound. not raspy at all very smooth. again the best 3x00 ive ever heard

In that case, I don't think you came out too bad.

If you are happy with the job, then you didn't get ripped off.

Nope- I've only had my own garage for 6 months since I did the L67 swap- and I spent that time on cleaning up the sound system (waste of time, it all got stolen anyways)- and the rear suspension work. About a year or so ago, I stuck on the whipple in the driveway, and found all the problems that go with those kits- and just started working the bugs out with that (in addition to ordering more parts).

Now I'm 1800 miles away, and won't be able to get it out here until we get a house, so its gonna be a little while still unfortunately.

You got a fairly decent deal. The mufflers are a cheaper brand muffler, probably cost 20 bucks a piece. I paid $100 for a single exhaust, and I had the muffler. So I figure a Y-pipe cat-back would be around 250, plus the mufflers, plus the tips.
