My mufflers should bE here any day now.. Next question though is I heard from someone that you would need the cold air intake instead of the stock that's in mine since I'm switching to a dual exhaust.. Would that make any difference in performance wise?

Quiet is honestly the best on these cars.
If you want horsepower, don't even bother touching anything in the cat-back, that just changes the sound. Power will come from freeing up the exhaust at the choke-points, which are the front exhaust manifold and the downpipe. With that said, my exhaust setup has honestly sounded the best to me out of all the 3800s that I have heard (besides the quiet stock setup, because honestly everything sounds pretty bad after 3.5k rpms) I have a ZZP SS Front Powerlog, ZZP 2.5" Stainless Downpipe with cat, and GMPP Cat-back exhaust system (which is really just a 2.5" stainless piping, 18" magnaflow resonator, magnaflow mufflers and 4" magnaflow tips) http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...austSystem.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...austSystem.jpg |
I don't have a quality camera for video. I can't get a good sound clip of the car.
The ZZP Powerlog at the time was probably $150, Downpipe was $225, and GMPP Cat-Back exhaust was around $550 (but that is now discontinued) |
