I have another question for you guys who know more about this then I do haha. So let's say I get a new exhaust and go catless, will that set off any lights or engine codes? and if so how would I go about having that taken care of?

yes itll set off a cel. you can have it tuned out, or i guess another option would be to have a o2 sensor bung drilled and welded into the catless dp(if not already there) and run a spark plug antifouler on it. you can find it in the help section of just about every parts store. there are right ups on here and tech about how to do it. simple and from what ive read effective. that would be the first thing i would try. if it doesnt work then tune it out. after that downpipe you may want a tune regardless.

Yea I'm planning on a tune anyway. After I figure out this exhaust situation that will be next on my list. Now does the 02 sensor plug into the cat? is that why if you go catless it throws a code?

there are 2 o2 sensors. one after the manifolds and one after the cat. the one after the cat just measures the exhaust coming through from what i understand.

ok, I got you. So let's say on the piping the OP linked. Would I need to go buy o2 bungs and have an exhaust shop put them in?

I think I just want to do 2.5", I have heard that 3" is a bit much unless you are doing a lot of other things such as a turbo.

then you only need to get a y pipe, and a down pipe. the factory exhaust is already 2.5. except the y and the mufflers.

Alright, that works for me. Also if I replace the downpipe and y pipe, that will set off rear O2 codes won't it? and if so to get them tuned out, would it just be best to get a tune? or is there an easier way to tune out the codes? I plan on getting a tune anyway, but I'm just looking at all my options.
