Default Cold Air Intake question

im looking at putting a cold air intake on my 2001 ls and ive noticed that there arent many out there for it, so im thinkin of a weapon r. as far as after i install it, does putting a cold air intake cause a noticeable drop in gas mileage because of the more air going in?

Probably not many could tell you for sure because the CAI does generate a little more power and we all like to use it! But it should help. Just make sure air intake is isolated from the engine bay and not sucking warm air. No universal CAI (unless you build a box)

I've had to answer this more then once, but I don't mind. They are made by Primax "made to order", meaning they don't exist, other then in concept, until you order them. I have never seen another set, nor had I seen what they would look like until I ordered them. It took 3 months for them to be made. When I ordered them I had only ever seen pics of a similiar 6-bolt wheel with a deeper offset. Not too many parts stores want to get wrapped up in this type of order, but luckily I am the parts guy at the parts store!

I'm glad you like! Most want bigger wheels, but bigger isn't necessarily better! The OE ones were 17", but I dropped to 16" so I could get the only size GoodYear makes Nascar Eagles in.

Can anyone cite their numbers before and after their intake for fuel mileage?

dont get something from ebay, if your going to get an intake get a wizaired or make a custom fender well intake. the weapon r intakes are bad and just suck in hot air. make sure the filter is out of the heat of the engine, as far as the rims, theyre on ebay here:

i think that offset may be too much tho
