Ya, it came precharged. I had k&n filters on my four wheelers years ago, and I remember recharging them, but I was so young I couldn't remember the colors, lol. Definitely going to have to pick the blue recharge kit up. Maybe sooner than later, since car shows are popping up more and more.

i had that same problem with mine. the gap. they obviously arent made right. anyways i just shimmed the bottom with some plastic washers on the back bolt. you can also take that rubber piece and move it around for a little fudge room.

blue would look nice. follow the directions and dont use too much oil.

i noticed maybe 1 mpg more.

Dang, only 1 mpg? So far I have averaged just under 3 more, I drive a lot of highway, so maybe that's why.

Is Cold Air Inductions intake system comparable to the intake induction systems offerd by ZZP, in particular the Wizaired and the ZZP CAI? I really like what everyone says about the Wizaired and that's it's the BEST available for the Monte Carlo, but CAI has a really great looking setup as well.... pricewise it's a bit higher, but the heat sheild looks pretty amazing and looks like it's built a bit more sturdier. Just wondering the overall census.

there basicly the same thing, just fot different engines. actually the zzp kit looks like a higher quality product int he pictures, i havent seen it in person though.

the wizard air/zzp branded ones, have the sensor hole cause they use different tubing.

i had planned on a ZZP CAI, but they are out of stock at the moment.... I did see a picture of the Cold Air Induction system and it looked AWESOME! The price was a bit high, but i'm just wondering if they are a good system... as good as the ZZP or Wizaired. I assume that ANY CAI kit with an enclosed heat box is a great setup. But again, just wondering what the comparison is....
