I know this is an old thread but I just read it for the first time. I think by brining attention to it again may revive some interest. I know it has mine. I have been sitting on my CAI for almost two years. This week end I install. Especialy with this write up as my tool. Thanks for the fantastic write up.

03 SS, 3.8L w/ CAI, Inc.'s intake, ...

32.47mpg highway w/ cruise @ 71 ... on a hilly/mountanous interstate.
(Amsoil 0w-30 100% synth, FlowMaster Super 44s, no resonator, L67 coil swap)

Thanks! Installation for your '06 will be slightly different from my '03 but it gives you a general idea of what's involved.
