Here is a pic of the powder coated CAI for those interested. The only thing about it and I dont know if its a big deal really is the small gap between the painted area and the box. This part seems like a universal type fit and is not a 'perfect, perfect' fit.

I bought an intake from CAI for my 06 SS and when I installed it the fit was very tight. A couple of days later the transmission module shorted out and caused the car to light up all the indicator lights and sometimes wouldn't even shut off. The dealer replaced the module after I switched out the intake with the factory one. I wanted to know if anyone else has had any problems like this. I want to reinstall the CAI but am worried the same thing will happen.

Did you have to unplug the connectors to take the stock air box out? Perhaps you didn't seal them well enough and they got wet?

thanks Zach (shockerdude) I posted the bottom 2 pics kinda for you? Do you see how there is kinda a scuff on the last pic on the left, it's under the lens! and also the tiny bubble on the last pic on the right above my torn jeans, also under the lens! Also as with member sluggers pics above, I also have a huge gap between my CAI and the underhood frame, it was the same with my old CAI, don't know why either??
