Exclamation C.A.R.B. exempt headers for CA

Well, after much searching online through the C.A.R.B. website, i finally found headers that are truely LEGAL in california.

TOG headers!
naturally, the most expensive headers are c.a.r.b. exempt.
luckily im probably only one of a few that actually have to deal with california emissions, seems like most people on here are from the midwest or somewhere other than california haha.

we may have c.a.r.b, but at least i can walk outside right now in shorts

just letting anyone else know if they search, now they will find this. make it easier for someone else.

i think i saw pacesetter on there too, but didnt really look at it too well. never gonna buy them.
in case anyone is wondering what c.a.r.b. is or what the website i looked all this up at, its http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...rmktdevice.php
c.a.r.b. controls california emissions.

well, for your fingers and toes sake, dont try the shorts idea haha. and if you do, make sure you already have the shower water warmed up to de-thaw yourself!

i think i'd trade being able to wear shorts for being able to have options on what headers i can run.

wait a minute..........NAAAAA.
i like wearing shorts!

unfortunately, were i live i see more fog than sunshine. i might get "fogburn"!

What are you guys talking about??? Didn't you ever get that email "You know you live in Wisconsin if..." You've ever gone outside in a parka and shorts.

That's how I get my mail.

If you end up getting a set of TOG headers, shoot me a PM.

I installed a set in January, and I think I might be able to provide you with some hints and tips that will reduce the amount of cursing taking place during your install.

I cursed a lot due to not being able to find a good how-to. I would not wish the same on anyone else.

wait a sec, is it true that i can pass smog with any set of headers? its not the actual change in exhaust emissions, but whether the headers are/are not approved by c.a.r.b. that would make me fail?

so if i bought slp headers that ARE NOT smog exempt and tack welded a TOG carb exempt number on them i would pass?

i just need to find a lazy smog person that wont care/check and i'll be good?

just cant afford for my car NOT to pass smog. i really want headers though!

ask your mechanic that has been doing your whole build, they should be set up for emissions testing, no?

Or you can move somewhere else and register the car in another state, though I don't think that's a good option
