Default Any Exhaust Ideas?

I'm trying to figure out what to do to my 2000 Monte for and exhaust system. I'm just trying to get a nice rumble but not break my bank account. I was thinking about just getting cherry bombs in place of the stock mufflers.

What exhaust system sounds good is one of those questions that will get a different answer from everyone that replies. What sounds good to one person sounds terrible to another. Your best bet would be to go on YouTube and search for Monte Carlo exhaust systems and listen to a few. If you find one you like the sound of go with it.

2000 Monte what? Do you have the 3.8 or the 3.4

The 3.4 will actually sound a little better with an exhaust, the 3.8 sounds better quiet.

Most definately! I have tried MANY combinations and they all suck. I take it that you have the 3800 since you said "stock mufflerS"

I wouldn't go with the flowmasters with the 3400... I would do magnaflows either way... you'll still get rasp with the 3400, but double the rasp (at least) with the 3800.

I had a Flowmaster Deltaflow 40 Series on my 3100 (very similar to 3400), sounded great.

I have a Flowmaster Deltaflow 40 Series on my 3800. Granted I have single 3" exhaust too. I think it sounds great for what it is. However once you reach 3500 RPMs or so... 3800's sound nasty. Not a good nasty either.

I would stay away from cherry bombs, i had them on my last monte and was not a fan of them. And i sell them!!
They are just not a good choice, not for our cars. Although you could try to put them on with a resonator i didnt have one. Oh well. I just put new mufflers on my 04. they are a knock off of maganflows and i absolutly love them. I still have no resonator. I will post a video soon of them, they are a perfect choice i think for our cars. Oh and if anyone likes them, i do sell them and get them at a kickin price, and they are stainless steel.
