Default Amazing 3800 Sound

2000 camaro v6 slp lm1 - YouTube

I was astounded that, that sound was coming from a 3800 V6.

If I buy a SLP Loudmouth I(3" in diameter) will an exhaust shop be able to fit it with an adapter.. And also will my car sound like that.

It probably wont sound exactly like that because of the differences in the way our engines are set up. > They both are 3800s but ours is fwd and the exhaust routing/location is different.

The exhaust routing is different also, making the sound just barely different. You won't be able to get that sound out of your 3800 regardless. The 3800 Series II engines don't sound great unless you put a lot of money into them (cams, heads, turbo or S/C)

I have both cars with 3800s.

The Monte will never sound like the Camaro.

That 3800 doesn't have aftermarket cams, heads, turbo or S/C.

But will I at least get something similar?

I don't think so at all. The size of the muffler on the f-body is huge. It is one pipe, that dumps into a large muffler, and both tips come out of that. Our spare tire is in the way of doing it the same way.

FWD vs RWD and a completely different body layout.

Also sideways engine mounting etc. etc.

We aren't screwed over, just will never sound the same.
