I think this insulation would work pretty good for wrapping an intake pipe or even building a box. seal it up with some aluminum tape and youd be good to go. 16 in. x 25 ft. Awesome:) Ive only ever used PVC piping to make them for my old cars. never worked with metal, for an intake anyways. My main thing is getting rid of that ridged piece in the middle. i want a nice smooth flow if that make sense. wrapping it in insulation does seem like a good idea. :) I'm getting all kinds of good tips:)
