Ok, so I have my new AEM filter and the neck is about an inch or so to short to reach the intake tube. Is there an 3.25" extension adapter available to make this work? Ive looked online and cannot find anything for this size. Its either to big or to small to work for my application.

Update: the title is wrong. The intake tube size is 3.25".

 

you can make it reach. go to home depot or menard and get a rubber coupler they have all sizes btw, 2 ring clamps, and a pcv tube. there, that should give you an idea what to do with these parts and how to make it reach.

 

I would move it away from the engine so you are not sucking hot air in. Make yourself a COLD air intake and not a HOT air intake. Big difference.

 

Yeah, I have a Cold Air Inductions CAI and thats why I need an extension for the intake tube; I cant move the filter any closer. The neck on the AEM is shorter than the filter that came with the intake. I believe I found something online that will work, but gonna go by Home Depot to see if I can find anything there.
