You're definately not going to get a V8 sound out of a V6.

i know im not going to get the exact sound but you can get pretty close if done right, im stuck right now between the Flowmaster 40 and the SLP Loudmouth, id like to learn a little more about the slp though

I'm not trying to be a dick, but you won't even be close to the sound of a V8.

FWIW, I will say I like the way Flowmaster Deltaflow 40's sound.

I agree, you may be able to get the volume at certain frequencies- but you'll never have the same overall tone as any V8- and no one that knows exhaust sounds will even mix up the two. All you can really do is make your engine sound louder or quieter at specific frequencies- but the base engine noise is going to be the same regardless what kind of exhaust is on it.

if anyone has cat problems with 2000-2002 gm cars not just mc's with 3.8L. gm will warranty the cat for free to 160,000 km (100,000 mi) or 10 years so 2000 cars are actually screwed already. gm will not publicly or volunteer this information you have to go after them on it if your cat is plugged or not working (setting P0420 code)

this might also be the case for 3.4L i don't know for sure

magnaflow sounds great with almost no drone at highway speed but good deep tone when you get on it

I use to have the dynomax catback system very nice sound! Loved that exhaust sold it and now I am going to the SLP in a couple months.
