2007 SS monte carlo exhaust
I have a magnaflow exhaust and I was wondering if I should get a flowmaster muffler. If so I was wondering why and should I buy a high flow cat as well, shouldn't the magnaflow come with a high flow cat?

Hi Aaron, & Welcome to the MCF.
I think magnaflow is a great system. Why would you want to
change it ? What year Monte/Model do you have ?
Did you install the magnaflow system ?
Are you looking for a different sound ? power ?
Please post some pic's of your Monte Carlo & tell us
more about it.
Look forward to your future posts.

so you have a magnaflow system on there now? including mufflers?? why would you want to change it?? i would keep it all one system, flowmasters are louder, but if you've got a complete system on there i wouldn't chanve it...and as for the high flow cat, most systems are cat back, so its everything after the cat, wont come with the cat convertor, so you'd have to buy one of those seperatly, and if you get one of those it will make it a little louder yet

Universal/High Flow Catalytic Converters
MagnaFlow Universal Catalytic Converters by Car Sound form the basic building blocks for a comprehensive line of direct-fit applications. The main benefit of the universal catalytic converter is that one unit may cover a wide variety of vehicle makes and models. Installing universal converters often requires the use of welding, cutting and tube bending equipment that is readily available to most professional installers. Another option would be to swap out the factory down pipe and go with one from Hogan performance, It comes with a magnaflow high flow cat as well...
