I have the coldairinductions CAI too...GREAT product! And yes, as everyone already mentioned, when you buy it from www.coldairinductions.com buy it under the 3.9L. The two engines are nearly identical, it fits perfect on the 3.5 too!

they need the demand and also they are already looking at a monty that is the flex to do the headers for because the 3.5 flex fuel had a higher number like the impalla.
That is what I mean- instead of just telling people to email Milzy (which I'm sure means very little to him- money talks, and when it comes down to it, how many would pay up?)- why don't you start a group buy thread, get a specific list of interested people and their contact information- once you've got a decent number of people interested (I'd say at least 10)- get in touch with Milzy for his ballpark final price (he can estimate almost exactly- the materials and labor are no different than for existing 3800 headers)- and then get the group buy people to do a deposits (they put some money up front to get the ball rolling quicker and to help fund the prototype set, and in return they get the 1st product and a discount off the production price).

So by setting up a group buy- you get an actual price confirmation, an actual date confirmation- and you can help find someone local for the donor car.

I just think waiting around for months hoping peoples emails get the ball rolling isn't going to work.

Cough Cough, headers will be made for the 3x00 W body on wot-tech.com in the not to distant future. if you want more power, and be able to keep up with the 5.3's, check out the 60degreev6.com and the wot-tech.com

Well it is not hard to take it out and put in the stock air box...So if your problem could possibly be related to the CAI, then i'd put your stock box back when you take it in. Otherwise, if the problem has nothing to do with the check engine lights, PCM, etc...you can leave it, and it will not void anything.
