Default 2003 Monte Carlo LS 3.4 Exhaust?

Hey guys, new on the forum, I recently bought a 2003 Monte Carlo LS with the 3.4 in it. It is all stock except for my stereo, which is a kenwood deck, a 600 watt alpine amp and 2 kicker 10 inch subs. I have the audio sound but I want the engine sound. What would be the best sounding exhaust setup for this car. I know its only a 3.4 engine so I am not expecting a V8 growl but I still would like it to be a little louder and lower. Would I be best to take out the catylic converter and put a aftermarker muffler on it? What do you guys think? Let me know! I am wanting to get it into the shop ASAP! and does anybody know any good sites with aftermarker parts for the 3.4? Or what are good mods for this engine? thanks so much!

For exhaust, I suggest a Flowmaster 40 series in place of the stock muffler. IMHO they sound great on 3100 & 3400's. To get the engine to sound louder, you could do a fenderwell intake, that makes the motor sound more throaty.

Thnx the milzy motorsports was exactly what i was looking for! But I now have a few questions about their products.
To start off their Throttle body spacer, the 59mm one will that just bolt on to my 03 LS 3.4?

Also their PCM, which Stage should I be going with? Standard or Stage 1?

Anybody have any experience with their Cold Air intakes? They look kinda standard, any better CAI's out there for the 3.4?

The downpipe they sell, good or bad?

And the last is about exhaust again, would i be best to get a downpipe(removes the u-bend), remove the cat and resonator and put a flowmaster 40 in? Anybody see any problems with that setup? Or maybe just from u-bend back with removed resonator and cat. Will removing the cat hurt the vehicle in anyway? Fuel mileage? Anything? Give me some good sounding suggestions as I want to get it into the exhaust shop ASAP.

Thanks so much!

you have to be carfull about state laws about the emission controlls the cat is one part of it. be care full your best bet is to get a high flow cat and put it on just to be carefull about where your at.

TB spacer is more or less a waste of money mod. For the price it just isn't worth it.
