i think i remember reading, he could easily make over the 900 whp too but he wasn't sure about the tranny handling it and he was just being conservative

My 2 picture links in the thread 'Build/Swap Almost Complete' - have been somewhat updated with a total of about 700 pictures if anyone is interested. I appreciate all the accolades guys!

Well - we got the line pressure up in the tranny to 380 lbs hot and 360 cold - that's 100 lbs over stock which will improve the holding power of the frictions discs. We eliminated the wavy plates and added extra backing plates and friction discs in 2 of 3 gears for additional holding power which amounts to about 14% more holding power on the low end where torque is the most brutal. The line pressure is up 100 lbs which is 35% more pressure than the stock 280# on top of that with the billet converter this tranny should now stay together. Putting in an oil accumulator this week to prevent dry starts - instant oil pressure before the engine even cranks. Bad news is the custom aluminum radiator split open at a weld and has to be sent back for warranty repair to NY. That will delay completion another 2 weeks but other than that it will be back on the dyno before the end of April and home with me shortly after that, can't wait.

That's 360 hot and 380 cold on the tranny pressure - got it backwards.

Hey Sam if you need I will Video the DYNO session for you....Will be something all the members would love to see. When they Dynoed my Monte the shop had a stationary Camcorder and I roamed around getting other shots. I would love to preserve this moment for you.... It will be so nasty loud, the power plant just a screaming, the tranny going all out, the tires on fire... The sound will be deafening for sure. I can have Matt let me know when he is taking it in for the DYNO session.... ... And for you; NO CHARGE except for a ride. We need pic's of our cars together, video's of the 2 Monte's idiling next to each other and then revving them up, Turbo's spooling, blow off valves, exhaust cutouts open. Would be a special moment..................Then dual BURN OUTS>>>>><<<<< Whew!!! Woulds be awesome....

Greg: The dyno video would be awesome and then you can post the video and our pictures we take together on this forum for everyone to enjoy - I will leave that to you and Matt. I am really looking forward to that moment when I can have my car next to yours and maybe drive side by side also! What a privledge! Never thought this day would come - and now to be so close.
