Default 04 monte ss exhaust advice

looking to install an exhaust system in my 04 monte SS. I'm looking for a deep growl like sound, what's the best way to go?

Best bang for the buck for a cat back is the SLP stainless system. I have that one on my 05. I also like the sound of my Dynomax system on my 03 but that system is not stainless so it will rust if you don't paint it.

I just bought a Borla cat back system from a forum member so I will let everyone know what I think about it when I get it installed.

I like my GMPP exhaust, but it's been discontinued.

Have no experience with any others.

Just my personal opinion, I put dual 40 series Flowmasters on mine and deleted the u-bend, sounds good, not going to get the 8 cylinder sound, but it sure sounds sweet! I may do a shorter glasspack resonator also, but it sounds good right now.

I just installed the GMPP (Magnaflow) exhaust. I love the performance but don't like the sound. To me it sounds like a four cylinder Honda with five inch exhaust. I'm gonna try replacing the tips with a regular straight tips see if it mellows it out a little.
