that side bar that goes down the both side of the 03 monte's and im sure other years, its just for looks so what do you prefer? on or off?

do you mean the side skirt that goes along under teh doors on each side? they're there for looks, thats it... and the car would probably not look good without them.

o yeah... the door molding... i like mine, alot of people say the car looks cleaner without. i notice it keeps the dirt from kicking up above htat line when you drive in alot of rain though.... so i say leave it on.

if your talking about the door molding (the strip on the side of the door), i tried taking mine off using twisted floss and it just couldnt do it. It just ripped it apart. if you can get it off, let me know how you did it!

thats true cowboy, i noticed that also. dirt either stays above or below depeding on the weather.

i think i'm just going to take it off. the way im thinking is heat it up with a blow dryer an use a adhesive remover with a razor blade or putty knife

using a what? damage to the paint! scratches and chips and gouges! holy chit! try something else like fishing string or idk but a putty knife or razor blade! ull murder the paint job!

edit:whoops sry forgot that u were painting it! but still b careful not to gouge the door as well
