RE: yo need power!!!
if you have a 3400 you could get a cam some headers and p&p the top end for some desent gains and if you want to do a complete build you should put in a set of high compression pistons
yeah if you are going to juice the ride i would at least p&p the uim and lim and go with a 65mm throttle body

Yo `Russell,
Modification of a 3.4 can be expensive : (
How many miles are on your Monte now ?
Do you have the knowledge/equipment/garage to do your
own mod's ? If not, I would suggest saving your money
and getting a 3.8L SuperCharged Monte, or a V-8 06/07,
or earlier model Monte. I would look for aMonte already built/engineered
for power/speed. Like HD Transmissions/Susp/Brakes/etc.
Just a suggestion....Once you `mod, you can restrict the
protential market of your Monte to others.
Good Luck in your decision....It's your Monte, it's your
money, it's your decision...Good Luck `Space : )
Just ZomeThing 2 `Think `bout.

it will be hard finding a sc for a 3400 as the company that use to make them went under, and they really didn;t make a lot of them. your best bet for a power adder would be turbo.

RE: yo need power!!!
Not to sound like a broken record from other threads- but an L67 swap would be cheaper than the 3100/3400 supercharger that RSM used to make. IIRC it was like $3500+, you could probably pull off a complete L67 swap for half that- if you're stuck on s/c. I just don't think it would be worth all the time and fabrication to make one fit on a 3400 if you couldn't buy the kit still.
I'd either put it on the bottle, or turbo. A turbo should be much easier to fab up that a roots blower- and some of the people who have done it have had pretty good results (germ/manitcor).

i agree tho the l67 swap is better bang for buck thing yes !
but if you want to s/c the 3400 dont get a roots style s/c it does not look right go vortech
and if you on a thight buget then the jug is the way to go
i would get a p&p intake manifold first there a couple 100 $
and a starter nitrous kit is around 500$
you can get hearder from pacesetters and a good exhaust system and underdrive pully
for some good power gains !!

RE: yo need power!!!
you can get a vortech supercharger from z-spec
Also, they don't have good customer service; if something breaks or needs attention.
