I test drove an 03 yellow SS before I bought my 04.

 

mine is a yellow 2002

 

As well as body color mirrors; I believe.

 

Since we're talking Competition Yellow. Does anyone know the correct color code for that. When I check my trunk (I have a '03 comp yellow SS) and look up that code, looks awfully orange, and this car lives inside almost always so it shouldn't be faded that much, besides the inside of the trunk is about a perfect match to the outside of the trunk. Also the PPG chip just says yellow, not Competition yellow. I have a spoiler from an 06 LS that I am replacing my surfboard with, and need to paint it and the trunk lid and obviously an orange-yellow isn't going to come close. I expect some fade, and will take the old spolier to the Auto paint store for matching, but that color in the book does not even come close.

Nah, not the same. I know you know that too. I wish they were actually painted instead of just black plastic. They don't shine like the rest of the car when it's clean.

 

Lloyd: Any good body shop should be able to color match the spoiler. I've been thinking of getting another set of mirrors. So I can get mine color matched

 

the color code is actually just plain ol' yellow, not competition yellow.

 

I like the yellow pace car for some reason.
