Xenon rear spoiler on 04 Monte carlo SS?

Xenon rear spoiler on 04 Monte carlo SS?
I want to swap my stock spoiler with a xenon flush mount rear spoiler but it says "will not fit models with Factory SS Spoiler." Im wondering why it won't fit and if I can get around it somehow.

It won't fit because the stock spoiler has holes drilled in spots that the Xenon doesn't use holes.
You can do it, but you will need to get those holes welded closed, and get the trunk repainted.

Or you can buy another trunk deck from a junk yard and get it painted. Thats what I am doing but my car got rear ended back in November so that was mostly my reason. My trunk got some decent size dents in it.
