Default Wires through Firewall question

Figured this would be a good place to ask, if not.. my bad...

Where is the best/easiest way to run wires from the engine bay to inside the car (...please don't say through the door.... )

I'm hooking factory fog lights to the factory switch and i'm familiar with this cars firewall AT ALL... any oics would be nice too!!

Thanks!

I know there is a rubber grommet in the passenger footwell on the floor. I believe there is one on the drivers side as well. But I hope you have an SS or know of another way to get the factory fog switch to work. Our fogs are computer controled (BCM) just fyi.

Yup, that's what I was gonna say, the rubber grommet (big block) on the passenger side footwell. But since it's for foglights I'd imagine you'd want to have the wire come through on the driver side if possible.....I can't help you there, sorry man.

is there any possible was to wire the h11 head lights and the h11 fog lights on the same line to save you time with wiring a completely new switch? and just have the head lights come one with the fog lights?

ok, well i might as well just post this stuff now., not like its hard work

I got the module from EBAY:
DEI 611T 12 VOLT "ACTIVE" LATCHING SWITCH/ RELAY/TIMER on eBay.ca (item 140333447156 end time 06-Apr-11 12:28:02 EDT)

Relay from Princess Auto (regular 5pin, but a 4pin would work)

and Pery at BBengineering helped me with putting a wire schematic together for, here it is:
http://www.bbengineer.com/cars/impal...Fog_Lights.jpg

A hell of alot cheaper then getting a new BCM from the dealer (500$+)

some extra wire, wire loom... and thats pretty much everything

hope it all works!

Super cool that Perry helped you out with that and that you shared with the rest of us, i'm sure somebody is gonna find this very helpful. Actually, I'd even suggest you start a thread for this alone in the how-to section

Yeah, it was pretty coold of him to help, considering we don't know each other at all!!

Can't wait till i can afford to send out my cluster and heater control!

As far as started a thread, i'm usually not very at explaining things, but i'll keep it in mind, i know alot of LS guys want the factory fog lights while keeping the factory look inside the car was well
