Cool Where should I mount my new tach :) !!

I don't want to mount it on the column. I can put it on the A pillar, top right of the shadowbox, or half way down on the right of the shadowbox. What do you think? Here's a couple of pics to get an idea.

I would install it as a direct replacement of the original. I think that is a very visible location (to the driver) and wouldn't attract any unwanted attention.

It's a 3 and 3/4 inch gauge. Which side of the steering wheel, off to the left by the pillar or you mean on the right sode? Let me put it less confusing, first second or third picture haha Also what do you mean by unwanted attention? Police? Also it doesn't fit the stock location and it doesn't match.

Oh ok thanks man. I'm just real picky because once I mount it it's mounted. I'm not leaving screw holes in my dash lol I was liking it on the pillar but I feel like a cop sees that at night he'll deffinately want to investigate. I don't know if you have heard my exhaust video on here. I basically have straight pipes to 2 flowmaster super 44's. That's plenty of attention there. Plus a tach on the pillar might be a red flag and being almost 4" it could be an obstruction of view violation. I'm leaning towards the right of the cluster dash (pic 1, but a little lower)

My '75 Monza had very limited room for mounting a tach without it blocking the view of my other gauges. To solve the problem I used rear view mirror adhesive and glued the mounting bracket for the tach to the windshield centered above the steering wheel. I rotated the tach in the mount so the needle pointed straight up at 12 o'clock at my shift point. That way I could keep my eyes on the track ahead of me and still see when it was time to catch the next gear. Just a thought...

The windshield idea is pretty good as well but I already havea chip in it and need to get it replaced and i dont want to keep gluing and regluing everytime my windshield gets a chip. I somewhat narrowed it down to these three options but i am open to other ideas. I'm gonna do it after work today around 4 or 5.
