Default What's it worth? 2002 pace car edition...

Hi guys,

My cousin has a 2002 Monte Carlo pace car edition. 1 of 1150 i think.

Anyone know what this might be worth or asking price. He's looking to sell.

Thanks.

www.kbb.com
www.nada.com

I know it seems rare if it truly is a 1 of model, but that will get you started.

How many mile are on it? Condition? Etc, Etc, Etc...

And yea KBB/ Nada are good guide lines to go by. It might be worth a pinch more if you find a buyer willing to pay, just because its the #1 car made. But it has to be someone that cares enough to pay for it.

It's in pretty good shape, gonna take some pictures today.

I didn't really think KBB is a place to go for a pace car edition, but I guess it's somewhere to start.

I forgot to include the mileage, new it was missing something!

Just off the top of my head, i'm going to say its probably worth somewhere around 6,000-7,500.

You can probably get 500 over KBB for it. But it won't ever be a full high price collectors edition

First thing to keep in mind is that sellers will over state the value of the car. It would be worth a little more than a "standard" 2002 Monte Carlo SS.

But the most important thing to keep in mind is authenticity.

There was someone on here not too long ago who got taken by someone who sold them a fake 2002 Pace Car.

If the seller told you it's number 0001 of 1150 (or what ever the actual run is), then be suspicious. Because often the single digit cars are not sold to the general public. Usually end up with a collector or something like that. But I think you meant it's one of the 1150 made.

If you have any questions about what to look for in the case of a fake, feel free to ask and we'll be glad to give you all the info you like.
