I have a Cold Air, Exhaust and Overkill Tune on my Monte. Stock it was speed limited to 107 MPH.
Since it has no speed limiter now, I've pegged the speedometer once, which is at 140. Way faster than I ever thought this car could go and amazingly, it was still pulling (slowly), but I backed off once I pegged the speedometer. I've seen 135 mph numerous times since then.

In my old 74 with the 454 big block, I did 125 in it on a long stretch of road. In the 2000, I did slightly over 100 passing a convoy of cars on the highway yesterday. But, haven't tried to max it out yet. I think the 74 would have gone way faster, but, 125 was plenty to satisfy me. That car also was famous for doing massive atomic burnouts!

I was coming home from the Daytona Summer race a few yeares ago, so north end of Florida.
I got passed by a corvette who was going way to fast, so I tried to chase him.
I backed off at 140. I didn't want to hit the limter with my wife sleeping, which is apparently 142. I've been told since that its not a hard limit, it just won't go over 142 stock.
I'd like to get the Camaro on a track someday, just to see what it would do.
