To me it doesn't seem like the 2004-2005 monte carlo ss s/c series are any slower then the 2006-2007 V8 monte's. Is that just me? Even though the 06-07 have 303 horsepower they still dont seem any faster then the s/c to me? Why? Are they that much faster? What would win in a race? Thanks

 

Stock vs Stock I would have to give it to the v8, but even if the SC just has a tune it would probably win.

The SS is a little heavy with the v8

 

the ls4 is actually lighter than the l67 though haha

 

Definately the V8 would win. The 06-07 SS are high 13- low 14 second cars. The 04-05 SS are high 14- low 15 second cars.

 

i agree x2 stock vs xtock the v8 will pull. but a few simple mods to the 3.8 ss supercharged monte. the different down pipe the cold air intake it will help the 3.8 supercharged off the line faster and keep up with it side by side. if you go all out on the v8 and the supercharged ss will be hard to say to be honest but i would go who will last with the weak link the longest. aka the trans
