Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but basically I am looking for something to get for my dad for Christmas. It is really hard to get him anything because basically he will just buy what he wants when he wants it leaving me to scramble and try to find something. This year I decided to get him something for his 2001 Monte Carlo SS. He will never even guess this. I usually just got him something fishing related but I'm sure thats getting old. Looking to spend maybe $30 or so. (I know its hard to get stuff for that) I'm in college right now so I don't have a lot of money to spend on things. I have done some custom work with the headlights on my car so I am capable of doing some hands on work so if there are things where parts are about $30 and I need to make something I can do that. Any and all suggestions will be considered! Thanks in advance!

WiFi OBDII readers (like these)are all over ebay. I don't know if there is still time to get one shipped, but its an awesome buy for under $30. The free apps that interface this device will code scan and erase codes, dyno the car, do quarter mile times and provided all sorts of real time feed back info. Its a neat toy that can be used on multiple vehicles.

 

No. He's old school. He texts but I don't think he likes to and I think he doesn't like his phone either. lol.
