the one we ran on the local dirt track was an '82 monte carlo.

Wink What generation is your Monte?
Mine is a 7th generation 2007 white LT, with black striping and lightning bolts (very small), moon roof and superior sound system. It's my first Monte Carlo and I love it!

I've never driven or really looked at one.

What do you use to get that gorgeous shine? It looks like a mirror! I have a 2007 LT, 211 hp, white with black interior. There's pictures of it in the Garage section here, I think.

Well This is my 3rd Monte Carlo. Had a 76 & 77. Now this one is an 06. Loving every minute of it. The color is Arrest me red. ( Victory Red ) With all black Leather Interior. I think everything in there is heated Sits on 18 wheels 7 tires. V 8. Really one of the nicest cars I've owned. And I've had a few !
