I'm happy with it > Just the way it is!

We hit the road with my Monte,, this weekend, for another long drive over to New York State for a weeding. Traffic was moving! Holding the Monte on the Cruise Control at 79.25 MPH ... away we went! Stayed right with the flow. It was HOT out! 96 Degrees. We cruised past several poor makes that overheated and were hoods-up at the side of the road.
My Monte did us proud. Keeping her cool for the whole trip. Temp Guage Indicator staying below 3 O'Clock ... even when I took the chance to pull-out into the passing lane, puller her into third and make a run past a line of traffic that slowed because somebodies cruise control couldn't handle going uphill without losing a few MPH's.

She was washed and Polished. Gleaming. Pimped and detailed for the celebration! Looking good all the way.

This Monte Carlo is Bare Bones Stock. Nothing Hot-Rod or added-on. But, it sure is a pleasure to drive and ride-in. The steering was so precise I made time on the exit ramps keeping the speed up and hugging the line. My wife was impressed. So was I. I don't want to change anything but the oil ... which I'm doing after dinner just to let her know I appreciate her running so good and behaving so well in the heat.

 

Ultimately I'd prefer both, but I'd settle for better MPG. This premium unleaded only thing gets expensive.

 

it's worth it Taz... its still the same .20 some cents more than the regular.

my car does 2 more mpgs on it.... pays for itself...

 

Ill take performance. Coming from a 10mpg f150 to a 17-18mpg monte carlo, I dont really mind a few less mpg as long as I can get MORE POWER!

 

17-18? you must be driving hte **** out of your car, lol. i never get below 20 man...

mayeb it's just tecnology and age...
