That's just silly, what I don't understand is why spend all of that money on rims, lifting, suspension mods all that crazy stuff when you can put all of that effort and money into performance.
I've noticed on these vehicles, they're all lifted, riding on 45's ( :P ) and completely stock... wtf that just doesn't seem right.

Not everybody is into performance. People who drive cars like that usually don't care about performance. It's about cruising around, showing off, and getting people to stare at your work.

Low riders don't spend 5 digits on custom paint jobs so they can drive by people doing 100 mph. Same idea.

I'm not saying I would want to drive around in that orange Monte with the 26's. But I know that there's also people who wouldn't be caught dead in my Dale Jr edition either.

It's all personal preference.

I don't know why people think it's cool to put port holes on anything other than a Buick.

I'm performance oriented so those wheels are not for me. They handle worse, you get worse mileage with them, and most importantly they rob you of accelleration.

But some people don't care and think it looks cool. IMO, I think it started with people who do this just to try to show off how much money they have. Now people seem to like the way they look (not me).

not only did they lift that thing but they had to have beat the hell out of those wheel wells, they just look awkward and you can tell its not all there

Let's be honest about it. It's stupid and funny looking.
"Honey, get the ladder. I left my jacket in the car!"

It's ridiculous. Must handle like a Fire Truck.
Is it real? Or, is it a PhotoShop-Job?

If it's for real; that Monte's trashed.
Hey, ... maybe he could get somebody to "Drywall screw-on" some kind of Ground Effects Kit, ...

Remember that? : )

I agree- I never quite understood why people put oversized rims on their cars except that they think it looks good. One thing's for sure, though, rims that size can get bent real easily, as well as screw up the wheel wells, transmission (it takes more torque to move wheels that big), and mess up the speedometer.

Not my style but it still is better looking than the spoked Dayton style "low-rider wheels" with low profile tires that people were doing in the mid 90's. I hope people know what I mean and it wasnt just a local thing around here.
