So it's been awhile since I've posted. I've been a member on here for years now. I own a 2000 monte carlo ls that I swapped a l67 into and never got it going. Put the hi sport kit on it. Put black SS interior in to it. The l67 has TONS of upgrades to it. I lowered it. I even got a MPD1 hood. Never once did I get to put it on the road.
2 months ago I bought a 2005 Monte Tony Stewart edition. I cant keep both because I have too much cars. So I really haven't done anything to the 05 because I'm afraid too mess up a good thing(original). But deep down I really want to put the hood and drivetrain from the 00 into the 05.
What should it do? Keep it original or swap it over.
In my humble opinion, leave the 05 stock. Once you start moding, it will never end. Been there, done that. Take a fun car and start with one little mod, then another and sill more. Before long you find that "fun car" is no longer that fun. Yes, may be fast and quick but just no longer something you can just jump in and have fun. FINISH the '00 and get it on the road and drive it some. It will be more saleable once it is on the road so someone could test drive it. At that point, you decide, do you want a modified "quick" car or a stock "fun" car.

I think with you on leaving it stock. I cant keep both cars at my house any longer. I dont have anywhere to do a simple maintenance. So I think I will pull the drivetrain and hood then send the white monte to the junkyard. I got too many project car sitting around. My house is not big enough to keep them all.
