ok am going to put in a 350 in it now i have 5000 to spend on it what should i do to it and like how fast can i do the 1/4 with 5000 in the enigine

 

I had a 350 in my '90 Silverado (reg cab, Short bed, fleetside, 4x4). The one thing I can tell you about that engine is that they like to BREATHE!!!!!! Intake and exhaust went a long way with my truck. After I did that, I took it out to the track to see if I could tempt anyone to a race, and everyone refused including a guy who had a supercharged F-150 Lightning. The sound scared them. I had a K&N filtercharger system on the throttlebody, jetcoated headers and a 3" fully dual exhaust (separate pipes and mufflers) with no cat converter (not required in the Cayman Islands) and dual glasspacks. She sounded nasty. I probably could have been beaten by the force-fed intake of the Lightning, but after a few revs and a righteous burnout, he was scared to be humiliated.

The moral of the story? Let that demon BREATHE!!! That is all.
