Oh my........I think I just died a little inside. How in the world do you ruin a car that bad and in that few of miles? I don't think I could make a car look that bad if I tried. Poor Monte..

You want to look at them and say "com'on, there aren't many more of THESE left, treat her nicely man".

But some people see it as "just a car" and "just for now". They don't think about resale value or anything. Admittedly, yeah, cars are investments, some of the WORST (values are usually going down). But again, a little pride goes a LONG way. My '02 Grand Am GT is on the inverse of that TS Monte, it was a basket case that was trashed and now is looking like a reasonable car again! I've fixed some silly little things on it too, just because.
I know exactly how you feel. When i owned my 1986 Monte Carlo Sport coupe ( Not the SS or the luxury sport) I treated it as it was a brand new 2012 luxury car. It got the wash and wax every week sometimes even twice a week. Was never ate it, enevr smoked in, and rarely had more then 2 people in it at a time. Occasionally it was floored, but that was mostly to hear that v8 roar.....and to get the carbon out It was my first car and i saw it as an extension of my personality. If it rained one day, the next day it was washed. It was the cleanest car at my school and the cleanest car at the car shows. Sadly i sold it but im hoping the new owner looks after it. Even with my 6th gen now i treat it the same way. Sure it make take me 4 hours to clean it but atleast i know its gonna be the cleanest car out there

Heres my .02:
When I was comeing up, I was always taught to respect what you have and treat it as if your life depended on it!
Me personally, I have earned everything I have ever owned. I had my first job at 12 yrs old Laying sod...and cutting lawns, rakeing leaves..
Then in the winter I shoveled snow...So, I always had a strong work ethic..

Lotts kids nowadays havent got a clue! more times than not there spoiled little brats...
So the way we were disciplined, was we either got the belt, strap,or a switch...We even got paddled in school...

Things have sure changed! Now kids scream abuse when they get disciplined? What a bunch of crap/Thats part of the problem with some generations, no respect for elders or property...let alone themselves...
Yes im Ranting...But it is what it is...
Just looking at that Monte just reopened my eyes to what happens...reckless abandon i guess applys here....

What a waste!!!! im done....

I get them all day long with 3-5k that look just as bad. Some people just don't care. Especially if the gov't is paying for them.
