Wow, I never knew how safe our cars are .... O.O

 

I wrecked an '01 Impala (sister car). Not by another car, but a LARGE tree AND a telephone pole. Car got skinny. They backboarded me away. I walked out of the hospital the next day. (I had the flu, was dehydrated, and passed out on cruise control).
THAT'S why I continue to drive a W-body car! I KNOW they are relatively safe.

 

Makes me feel better that I have Side Impact airbags........

 

I think i'm going to shed a tear. So sad they had to destroy that Monte to prove how safe they really are.

 

very sad to destroy a great monte, but i don't think my 06 has side impact airbags??

 

At least it only had the surfboard spoiler

 

That on in the video did not have side impact airbags, at least I don't think. I was told that the Monte Carlo had 3 star side impact, and 5 star front impact with no sid airbags. But with Side airbags, it had 5 star side and Front.

My Monte does have side airbags
