I'm wondering, is there any difference between the upper manifold that comes with the 3.8 na. And the Dorman reinforced manifold, I have both but my Dorman is painted just wondering

The major change that comes to mind is that the l36 cars use a plastic upper intake whereas the l26 cars got an aluminum upper intake.

I purchased a Dorman for my Impala years ago after having issues with the egr tube causing the plastic to crack on thr stock manifold and had no issues with it in the 20k+ I drove it before I sold it. Granted I got about 80k out of the stock manifold before issues popped up with it.

The Dorman has a metal sleeve to reinforce the EGR "Stovepipe" that tends to melt in the OEM ones.
